During his career, he has contributed to policymaking at university, national, European, and international level.

Dr. Dirk van Damme
Head of the Innovation and Measuring Progress Division, France

 

Dirk Van Damme (PhD, Ghent University) is Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Curriculum Redesign in Boston (USA).
He recently retired from the Directorate for Education and Skills at the OECD in Paris.

Peter has led UNESCO’s priority area of quality higher education with an emphasis on widening access, quality assurance and academic mobility, the latter reinforced by the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education adopted in 2019.
